Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Burrell is host of the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef along with being co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped to the max, shares easy techniques anyone can grasp. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of New York's top establishments, studied Italian food and its traditions, and participated in Food Network Iron Chef America. As a child in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell was able to discover a love of cooking and food at a young age. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She says "I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Culinary Institute of American student. I loved every minute of it." It was difficult to master, do or work enough. Chef Burrell following her graduation from the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy was employed for a year in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. She gained a deeper understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions during her stay in Italy which has had an impact on the way she cooks. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children's lives who have obstacles and is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. as a speaker, guest and mentor, she travels all over the U.S. to share the joy of cooking as well as her work. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has said, "I feel blessed to be able be able to share the passion I have to others.
