Sadie Amara Calvano is an actress from America who gained attention as the character Violet Plunkett in the CBS sitcom "Mom". Calvano is originally from California and was first fascinated by gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano decided to focus on an acting career. The first time she appeared on screen was on the screen in 2010 with the CBS show 'NCIS. The biographical crime thriller movie J Edgar was her big screen debut just a year later. In the ensuing years, she has made herself known as one of the best young actresses working within the field today. In 2011, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award in the category of Best Performance for Young Actresses between 11 and 15 for her role on NCIS. In 2013, for a guest role in Disney XD's 'Kickin' It Comedy Series, she received another nomination for an Young Artist Award. Calvano was a part of Mom's initial three seasons, and also made several guest appearances during the fourth. Her performance in the show earned her the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
